RHINO 9 + MCP / A PLANNED CONNECTION

A wider
conversation.

Your idea starts a conversation. Rhino gives it form.
I’m exploring how LEMON can be part of it.

See the connection
01 / THE CONNECTIONONE MODEL. A SHARED CONTEXT.

Keep the work
connected.

Model Context Protocol gives compatible AI assistants a way to work with tools and context. McNeel brings that connection into Rhino and Grasshopper.

Solid connection: the McNeel platform. Dashed connection: planned LEMON work. This is a conceptual map, not a live connection.

AVAILABLE FROM MCNEEL

Rhino can
listen, too.

RhinoAI connects compatible AI assistants to Rhino and Grasshopper. Depending on the client and its tools, an assistant can work with document context, geometry, commands and scripts.

In Rhino 9, the AI panel and the external RhinoMCP connection serve different workflows. McNeel’s documentation explains the supported clients and setup.

PLANNED FOR LEMON

Bring the image
into the conversation.

The aim is a rendering workflow that feels at home beside your Rhino model and the tools you choose to work with.

LEMON’s MCP integration is planned. Its tools, supported actions and setup instructions will be published after implementation and validation.

02 / A WORKFLOW SKETCH

From an intention.
To the next idea.

Three ways to imagine the connection. These are planned workflow examples, not live tools or available LEMON commands.

WORKFLOW SKETCH / PLANNED

Start with what you mean.

“Let’s try a softer curve.”

  1. YOU

Describe the change you want to explore.

  2. RHINO + YOUR ASSISTANT

Use the tools supported by McNeel and your client to work on the model.

  3. LEMON / PLANNED

The aim is to keep the visual interpretation close to the evolving design.

ABOUT THE IMAGERY

Ideas for the image.
Honest about the source.

AI-generated concept imagery. Not rendered with LEMON. These visuals do not demonstrate the product's current capabilities or final output quality. The optical sculpture, architecture and chair studies are illustrations, not Rhino screenshots.

The chair keyframes have approximate alignment. Comparisons illustrate materials and lighting; they are not ray tracing or DLSS benchmarks. The decorative surface and particles are original web effects.

Product demonstrations will use real Rhino scenes and output from validated LEMON builds.
